Out and About

Sunday was a beautiful fall day here. Sunny with highs in the 60s with a light breeze. Perfect walking weather.  Joe and I walked and walked and walked some more.  We weren't alone; it seemed like most of the city was out enjoying the day.
Just look at all the people on the bridges.

We headed over to the Flower Market which turns into a bird market on Sundays.

This is the Tour of St Jacque.  It was under renovation when I was here in '08.

The Pompidou Center.

From the Pompidou we headed into the Marais to see the Musèe Carnavalet.
This is a free museum contained in two 17th century mansions. Telling the history of Paris with art.

The formal garden

A statue in the garden.

The old windows are beautiful.

Looking through a stained glass window

A mural painted in a stairway

Even the floors were amazing.

As we headed back we stopped in the Church of St-Paul-of-St-Louis
Now that is a pipe organ.

Once again beautiful old windows.

As we crossed over the Seine we noticed how the sun was playing on the water and all the couples enjoying the day.
