Versailles

Due to the strike there are limited trains running. So our first challenge was to be sure we got on a train that would get us to Versailles. The train that goes the closest was not running. After some confusion we jumped on a train heading in the right direction.
Once on the train a very nice Frenchman assured us we were on the right train and gave us his train schedule with the station marked so we would know when to get off.  He made us happy.

It took a train, a bus ride and a walk to get to Versailles

This trip turned into a once in a lifetime opportunity. Currently there is an exhibition of Takashi Murakami's art, a contemporary Japanese artist.  The exhibition was created in keeping with the spirit of Versailles where the greatest creative artist have always been brought together.  Personally I did not get it.  Patsy says it was fun and she didn't not like it but the art was a bit juvenile for her taste.
You can offer your opinions after seeing the photos.

This is the reflection in the mirrors.

This is the one we liked the best. It was in the Coronation Room and it is called, "The Emperor's New Clothes".

The back is hysterical.

"The Oval Buddha"

I'm sorry but this is a little much.  I'm just saying I couldn't live with this.

Almost forget the chandelier.
